SGPT Marketing

Organic Content: Is It Worth It?

Episode Summary

Is organic content actually worth the effort for SGPT gym owners? In this episode, Miles breaks down the pros and cons - and shares how we use it inside our own personal training gym, INTENT91. If you’re trying to figure out how to make your content count (without relying on it as your sole lead gen strategy), this one’s for you.

Episode Notes

Posting on Instagram. It takes time - but is it worth it?

Here’s how we use it at INTENT91, and how we recommend you do too:

Don't rely on organic content as your sole marketing strategy
To put it simply, you will not get as much bang for your buck with organic content as paid ads. Organic content is time consuming and there is no guarantee that people in your local area will see your content.

However, organic content can help increase the likelihood that a prospect converts
Your ads, website and emails all need to align. Your content is like your shop window - it can help to build trust and reinforce your message.

The retention and community benefits
When members see themselves in your content, they’re more likely to engage, share, and stay. Your feed becomes part of the brand experience and prospects feel like you are the place to go to get help with their specific problems.

How to keep it simple and consistent
You don’t need to post 5 days a week - but you do need to show up regularly with content that matches the message you’re putting out elsewhere. Pick an upload schedule and stick to it, whatever is achievable for you and your gym.
